Searle ends his campaign with win in Germany
BRITISH star Tommy Searle completed his World Motocross Championship campaign with an overall win in the German Grand Prix at Teutschenthal.
The 23-year-old, who will compete in the 500cc class in 2013, won both 250cc races to finish runner-up to Dutchman Jeffrey Herlings, who failed to finish in the first 20-lap race and was beaten by Searle in the second race. KTM's Jake Nicholls finished fourth in the series and Max Anstie seventh.
The 500cc class resulted in another overall win for the Italian Antonio Cairoli, which was his seventh success on the trot.
Heavy rain curtailed racing in the Chard club's South West Off Road Series Motocross at the Tiverton Moto-Park at Halberton, Devon.
