Search for new talent is back on
THE annual Search for a Star talent contest has kicked off with an opening round of heats.
The first 12 hopefuls taking part in this year's competition performed for the judges at The Fry Club in Keynsham last night.
The winners from the first of five heats will now take part in the semi finals with the hope of winning a place in the final, which takes place on Sunday, May 19.
Those taking part last night were: Acoustic Two – Jack Pentland and Izzie Priest, 16; Harley Marsh, 15; Sophie Allen, 16; Amiana Scott-Phillips, 15; Sarah-Jayne Steele, 25; Emily Heskins, 15; Joe Probert; Anna Mulvihill; Rob Warren; Amber Pollard and Shannon Kitchen.

Organiser Debbie Dyer said the talent on show was once again at a high standard.
She said: "Although not all of them could go through to the semi-finals, they all proved to be winners on the night."
There is still time to enter the competition, which is supported by The Post.
It is open to entertainers aged 14 and over.
