Puxton Park, in Hewish, is asking youngsters to send in a drawing of their Mum outlining why they think they deserve to be crowned Mum in A Million 2012.
Entries must be received before 5.30pm on Wednesday March 14 and the overall winner will be chosen my Mum's Diary editor, Claire Kingsbury-Bell, winning a family pass for Mothering Sunday.
Activities planned for Mother's Day include free entry to all mums, onsite beauty therapists offering mini pampering treats and family photos to capture the special day.
Alistair Mead, managing director of Puxton, said: "People can take it for granted how hard it is being a mum and therefore we want mums to be recognised for all their hard work.
"This is the first time we have run the competition and we hope it will attract lots of entries from children wanting to thank their mum's.
"All we ask is that children send us a drawing of their mum and say why they deserve to be named Mum in A Million 2012.
"The winning mum will be treated as a VIP on Mother's Day with a free family pass, receive a free beauty treatment and a bouquet.
"So kids get creative and tell us why your mum is so special to you."
Entries, with the child's name and a contact number on the reverse, should be handed to Puxton Park's reception desk or be posted to Puxton Park, Cowslip Lane, Puxton, BS24 6AH.
The farm shop will also be selling a range of special mummy hampers containing wine and chocolates, with one lucky visitor winning one on the day by entering a draw.
Set in the beautiful Somerset countryside the 70-acre family park is one of the largest visitor attractions in the region offering a pet village, farm animals and a falconry centre.
For play there is an indoor three-storey play barn, outdoor play with an inflatable bouncy pillow, giant castle, maze, adventure course, boating lake, and JCB sand pit.
There is also the award winning Meadow's restaurant and a farm shop selling local produce including Somerset grown vegetables, local cheeses and meats from award winning Gerald David Butchers.
