New head coach Sean O'Driscoll was at Ashton Gate to see Bristol City's Under-21s hammer Queens Park Rangers in an FA Development League fixture tonight.

And the 55-year-old Midlander will have been impressed by midfielder Bobby Reid and winger Joe Bryan, both of whom scored in a comfortable 4-0 triumph.

A second-half substitute in Saturday's Championship clash against Leicester, Reid opened his account when accepting a cross from Kevin Krans and firing low past Rangers keeper Aaron Lennox.

In and out of the first team this season, fellow teenager Bryan cut inside his man and rifled a sweetly-struck shot across Lennox and inside the far post to double City's lead on the stroke of half time.

Having twice been denied in the first bhalf, striker Krans netted the goal his performance merited when lobbing Lennox on the hour mark. He added a second when turning home a cross from Bryan six minutes from time.

O'Driscoll took the opportunity to watch midfielders Marvin Elliott and Neil Kilkenny in action and, with Saturday's game at Leeds United in mind, both came off after 55 minutes.

Centre-back Lewin Nyatanga was City's other over-aged player.
