Debra Pascoe, the school's head of art, said: "Su's enchanting works of art use the pages of books to bring to life the stories which she views as being trapped inside the pages of the books. This was an excellent way of linking our "Read Allowed!" project with our art classes."
Su said: "The written word on paper has been the core of communication for generations.
"My aim is to release the books' characters and stories to further communicate their messages through my sculptures and installations."
Read Allowed! is a year-long initiative to encourage a culture where reading is a natural part of daily life for everyone at the academy – students, teachers, governors, and parents.
