A scout group will host Winterbourne's annual bonfire and fireworks display.

Farmers Robin and Sue Lowe have offered land at their Sunnyacres Farm for the event, to be held on Saturday, November 7.

Richard Pitt, of the 1st Winterbourne (St Michael's) Scouts, said: "Sunnyacres is ideal for our event. There's plenty of space and the view of the fireworks is clear for everyone.

"Last year's party was very well attended, now we've just got to pray for good weather."

Gates will open at 5.30pm, with entrance to the site at the North Road end of Cloisters Road.

The bonfire will be lit at 6pm, with the fireworks display starting an hour later.

Advance tickets from Cane and Home cost £2.50 for adults and £1.50 for children under 12. They will be 50p more on the night.
