Schoolgirl in hospital after early morning accident
AN 11-year-old schoolgirl was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after an accident in Weston-super-Mare.
Police were called to reports of a road traffic accident involving a Ford car and the child at the junction of Wansborough Road and Bentley Road, Worle, at just before 8.30am this morning.
The road was closed to allow the air ambulance to land but the girl was taken to Frenchay Hospital for treatment by road ambulance.
