“my school hanham high was closed and i didnt even realise untill i got to the bottom off my road and a taxi driver seen my hanham high uniform and pulled over and told me it was closed , i think ALL schools should be closed cause its chaos out there my mum seen a car going about 2 miles per hour and he turned a corner and slid on the ice and hit another car also its maniac trying to walk to school when its all icey and snowy admitidly its fun but very very dangerous my school is a half hour walk away and i slid over 9 times !!!!!!!!
hopefully hanham high and all other schools are closed tomorow”

“The trouble with the schools closing is that there was no consistency to it: My daughter's secondary school was shut today .........but the 2 local primary schools within a half mile radius of the secondary school ......... both stayed open!! My younger two go to one of those schools and they were NOT happy bunnies this morning to find their sister had a day off but they didn't!!
I can't understand why the schools close anyway ............ our primary school let the children go out and play in the snow at either lunch or break time ........... and if it's a case of pipes freezing ........once it;s apparent that we are expecting freezing weather, can't the school caretakers have the common sense to leave the heating on overnight on a low setting to avoid the pipes freezing up?”
