School celebrates Ofsted rating
STAFF, children and parents from Ilminster Avenue Specialist Children's Centre are celebrating after receiving an outstanding rating from Government inspectors Ofsted.
Inspectors were impressed at finding specialist health, education and community services together on one site and praised the excellent facilities that "raise aspirations and improve lifestyles".

They found that children and their parents made outstanding progress at the "very inclusive" centre, in Throgmorton Road, Knowle West.
It became part of Ilminster Avenue Specialist Nursery School and Children's Centre in 2010 to provide childcare and health services for children from birth to seven years. Claire Shiner, the centre's head teacher, said: "We are very proud of our children, families and staff and their amazing achievements."
