SAYTARA makes her first foray into handicap company at Kempton, but she could still be a step ahead of the assessor, despite being saddled with top weight.

The Nayef filly had just two juvenile starts for Saeed bin Suroor last term, but she fared pretty well, finishing fourth on her debut before winning at Newcastle last October. She missed the break on the first occasion, but looked a lot sharper at Gosforth Park, demonstrating a good attitude to grind out a one-length verdict, despite still running a bit green.

Paul Hanagan rated the filly highly after that win and thought she would be much better this term – an opinion which will now be put to the test. This well-related runner has three multiple winners as siblings and, while a starting mark of 79 is on the high side, Saytara looks game for the challenge.

Amoralist has proven he can handle the all-weather surface in the past, so must merit respect in the betfair.com Handicap. He ran up against some decent horses as a juvenile last year, before finally coming good at Wolverhampton on the last of his four outings as a two-year-old. While he looked a stayer in that win over nine furlongs, Ed Dunlop found that a mile-and-a-half was too big an ask for Amoralist on his reappearance this year.

The Tobougg gelding was beaten 76 lengths on soft ground at Pontefract, so the switch back to a mile last time looked a wise move.

He could not quite manage to get his head in front at Newmarket that day, but Amoralist turned in a much improved effort in third and should not be discounted here, particularly as the handicapper has eased him slightly in the ratings.

Eltifaat boasts an excellent pedigree as a half-brother to 2010 2000 Guineas winner Makfi and is one to watch in the Olly Murs 17.08.12 Maiden Stakes.

He did not make it to the track as a two-year-old, but Sir Michael Stoute's patience can pay off with a debut win here.

Stoute should also be on the mark with Scottish Vespers in the Catering Services International Ltd Maiden Stakes at Brighton.

Alsahil is worth another chance in the Steps And Peter Andre Live This Saturday Handicap at Hamilton after running well below par last time.

He tried to make all at Pontefract but dropped away quickly and is surely better than that.
