Sam Baldock handed full Bristol City debut at Barnsley
NEW £1m signing Sam Baldock was handed his first Bristol City start in today's npower Championship clash against Barnsley at Oakwell.
Recruited from West Ham United last month, the 23-year-old striker marked his debut when coming off the bench to score in a 4-2 home win over Cardiff City seven days earlier.
His 25 minute cameo performance earned him promotion to the starting line-up in Yorkshire, Baldock partnering Jon Stead up front as manager Derek McInnes retained his favoured 4-4-2 formation.
Ryan Taylor dropped to the bench, but there was no place in the 18-man squad for out-of-favour striker Brett Pitman, who missed out for a second consecutive week.
