Salisbury City 2 Eastbourne 0: The Whites extended their unbeaten run to 10 games with victory over Eastbourne.

Salisbury manager Nick Holmes said: "I don't think we were at our best today, but we still scored goals and that is pleasing. It was a scrappy game with Sean Clohessy's cross and Brian Dutton's header being the only real quality points."

Charlie Griffin went close after three minutes before Clohessy drove wide and Dutton's diving header missed the target.

Eastbourne keeper Lee Hook pulled off a magnificent stop from Darrell Clarke to keep it scoreless.

Clarke had the ball in the net on 38 minutes but the effort was ruled out for offside, and it was not until time added on that Eastbourne threatened when Simon Wormull's shot went wide of the upright.

Bittner did well in a one-on-one with Tait shortly after the restart. Then, on 55 minutes, Wormull's back-header narrowly missed.

On 70 minutes, Salisbury produced the best move of the match. Griffin held the ball up well before laying it back to Clohessy, whose cross was headed home by Dutton from close range.

On 88 minutes, substitute Charles Ademeno dispossessed Boro's Darren Baker halfway inside Eastbourne territory and ran on unchallenged to calmly net Whites' second goal. The win almost banishes relegation fears among Whites' fans.
