Safer Bristol day goes out to Horfield
Horfield's Somali community were the focus of a safer Bristol day yesterday.
Police, fire fighters, neighbourhood watch representatives and members of Bristol City Council, offered advice and information to residents to ensure they feel safe in their homes.

The event was held at Upper Horfield Trust in Eden Grove and Safer Bristol community safety officers advised residents on reporting hate crime. They said Somali residents were often harder to reach despite regular Police And Communities Together meetings in the area.
"Georgie Bryant, Safer Bristol community safety officer for the Upper Horfield area, said: "We want everyone to have access to information on how to keep themselves safe in their home and on the streets so we think that an inclusive event like this is really a good idea."
