Bristol Premier Combination: Unbeaten Longwell Green Reserves extended their lead to 10 points at the top of the Premier Division after coming from behind to grab a 2-1 victory at third-placed Pucklechurch.

Backed by the strong wind sweeping down the pitch, Pucklechurch took the lead midway through the first half when Longwell defender Eron Denton turned the ball into his own net.

Denton atoned for his error by heading the equaliser immediately after the break, then the visitors missed several chances before Mike Hardiman netted a last-gasp winner with a close-range volley.

"Overall, we deserved to win after Mark Ashley and Scott Oakley both came close to scoring in the first half," said Longwell Green manager Nick Marsh, but Pucklechurch secretary Richard Savage felt that a draw would have been a fair result.

South Bristol Central moved out of the bottom three thanks to a hard-fought 3-2 success at Wick after twice being pegged back by the hosts.

On target for SBC were John Miles (2) and Ben Garland in reply to goals from Dan Beer (penalty) and Matty Denton.

"We played good football in bad conditions, particularly against the wind and rain in the first half," said SBC manager Paul Keen.

"Let's hope this is the turning point after playing well and losing in other games."
