Rotary pressure checks
NEARLY 140 people took the chance to get their blood pressure checked during an event run by members of Chipping Sodbury Rotary Club.
Of those seen by health professionals, 21 were advised to see their GP for a follow-up - one of them urgently.
The club, which organised the event as part of National Stroke Awareness Day, has three doctors among its members and they were helped by volunteer nurses and doctors. Shoppers and visitors were checked, with 15 per cent recording high blood pressure.
