See how Romans heated their homes
KINGS Weston Roman villa is holding an evening opening on Wednesday.
The villa, discovered in 1947 by Bristol schoolboy, George Boon during the building of the Lawrence Weston housing estate, will be open from 5.30-8.30pm.

Visitors can look at the remains of the house, which had a bath suite, under-floor heating and mosaic floors, as well as learning about the lifestyle of the people who lived there more than 1,600 years ago.
Gail Boyle, archaeology curator at Bristol's Museums, Galleries and Archives, said: "This is a great opportunity for people who want to visit the villa, but can't make it to one of our weekend openings. Our team of curators will be on hand to answer any questions about the villa."
