Avon Youth League Under-15s: Goalkeeper Nick Adams scored with a huge clearance as Rockleaze Rangers beat Almondsbury 6-0 in Under-15 Division III.

Rangers were 2-0 up at half-time thanks to goals from Ricky Wilson and captain George Harris.

Adams made some impressive saves to keep the lead intact and then extended the advantage after the break. He launched a long drop-kick the length of the pitch and looked on in amazement as it bounced once before ending up in the back of the net to make it 3-0.

Jonny Bradbeer netted the fourth goal direct from a corner, before top scorer Wilson and an own goal completed the scoring.

Bristol Rovers Supporters Club Juniors survived a late surge from Keynsham to win 2-1 at Southey Park in Division I.

Rovers had lots of the ball in the first half but failed to carve out many openings until Ryan Leather latched on to a huge kick from keeper Adam Fry to put them 1-0 up on 25 minutes.

In the second half, Billy Bond extended Rovers' lead when he was first to react after his shot hit the post and he tucked the rebound home from close range.

The visitors pulled a goal back when Joe Ryan placed his shot past the advancing Fry. Rovers could have extended the lead with Jake Jackson, Tom Shopland and Matt Latt all going close. Keynsham pressed Rovers back in the closing stages, but the hosts held on.

Bitton hosted Henbury Colts in a midweek floodlit game, winning 2-1.

The home side took the lead when Liam Bliss poked in a near-post corner, only for Henbury to equalise five minutes before half-time as Jack Mills curled a left-foot shot from the edge of the box into the top corner.

The winner came midway through the second half. Henbury failed to clear their lines and a lob into the box found Sam Giles, who steered the ball past keeper Dale Hill.

Henbury would have salvaged a point, but Bitton keeper Dan Jackson tipped over a Luke Cox piledriver in fantastic style.

The two teams clashed again at the weekend on Henbury's first-team pitch at Arnall Drive and they gained revenge for their earlier defeat with a 2-1 victory.

Both sides missed chances before Luke Lockyer opened the scoring for Henbury with a fine individual effort.

The home side doubled their lead through Sam Fitzgerald following a mazy run and pass by Joseph Hicks.

Henbury could have added to their tally, but resolute defending by Bitton kept them in the game. A Bitton goal from George Yates from a Josh Murphy cross with five minutes left made it a jittery ending for the home side but they held on.
