Rixon posts a runaway win at Landsend
Match organiser Tony Rixon finished more than 20-0-0 clear of the field in the Avon Angling Midweek Open match fished on John's and Sidney's Lakes at Landsend Fisheries near Wedmore.
He poled 8mm hard pellet over a 6mm feed at 14 metres off peg 79 on Sidney's Lake for a 50-carp catch totalling 92-7-0.
Team Landsend's Nick Duckett finished second with a 16-carp catch weighing 72-5-0 taken from the island margins at 14 metres off John's 68 with soft pellet.
Avon Angling's boss John Bradford topped the silverfish scoresheet at John's 66, where caster and maggot short-poled into the lakeside margins came up with an 11-10-0 mixed bag.

Rob Mills found plenty of action in the Carpenters Arms 2000 AC match fished on Dabinett Match Lake at Cider Farm Lakes, Lympsham. He poled paste close to a reed bed situated nine metres off peg 20 and caught most of his winning 59-4-0 catch of carp during the last hour.
Second place was filled by Chris Woolley, who used slime paste to good effect at peg six to tempt a similar 56-8-0. Paul Foxhall poled hard pellet at 16 metres off peg 21 and finished third with an all-carp catch weighing 49-12-0.
