Gloucestershire captain Karen Rix (Bristol & Clifton) is planning for another victory in the South West Match Week at Trevose next week, but admits it will be tough.

In her first year as captain, Gloucestershire beat favourites Dorset on countback at North Wilts and finished third on countback in the national final at Thorndon Park in Essex.

Rix, pictured, the secretary at Shirehampton Park, said: "Dorset are very strong, you can never underestimate Devon, Somerset have several good players and Cornwall are the home team, so it's going to be very close and I'm very excited."

The one change from last year's team is the introduction of Minchinhampton teenager Victoria Wakeley-Jones, who replaces club colleague Charlotte Ellis, who plays on the Ladies European Tour.
