Rivals yield to the excellence of Edmunds
Craig Edmunds drew the hot favourite peg 24 and bagged a massive 146-1-0 haul of carp in the Bristol PSV match fished at Avalon Fisheries, West Hay.
The Avon Angling ace attacked the top right hand corner of Moors Match Lake with an 8mm hair-rigged pellet, which he poled shallow at 16 metres into the end bank margins.

He fed a 6mm pellet over the top of his margin float and in the first 90 minutes netted seven quality carp.
He said: "By then it had become difficult to hold the long pole steady against the wind.
"As soon as good bait presentation became impossible, I switched to fishing the same bait beneath a pellet waggler at 35 metres into open water and just kept catching."
Edmunds then alternated between the two methods and included six double-sized carp in his haul.
Match organiser, Steve Burgess finished in second place with 97-0-0 of carp. He fished the same bait as the winner close to the island off peg 26 and, while trying to combat the wind, lost his entire stock of five heavy floats to the island vegetation.
He said: "For the last two hours of the match I was forced to use a lighter float, which fell a good two metres short of the feeding zone."
Steve Wynne put a pellet waggler to work at peg 11 on the left bank and finished in third place with 63-12-0.
He fished an 8mm hard bait over a 6mm feed between 15 and 20 metres centre and weighed in carp in the 4lb to 8lb class.
The top silverfish catch was taken by Bob Warren, who poled 6mm soft pellet at 11 metres centre off peg 21 to tempt three small carp totalling 6-8-0 and a pools winning 6-4-0 of silvers.
