MANGOTSFIELD United Under-10s eased clear of their rivals at the top of Division A with a splendid 12-2 away victory over gallant Longwell Green.

Tough-tackling Stan Doling produced a star performance in a testing opening game for Mangos, in which braces apiece for Tommy Backwell and Harry Milton set them on their way with a 4-2 win, Will Ashton, Sonny Tucker, Max Wiltshire and Ellis Parker all playing their part well.

A superb performance by Owen Ridler, who capped many powerful forward runs with three well-taken goals, gave Mangos real second-game impetus, and with Seb Scott (2), Sam Barney (2) and Jacob Glover, who took off his keeper gloves for the final ten minutes to score a delightful eighth goal, all on target too, Field ran out comfortable 8-0 winners.

Dan Northcott and Callum Humphries combined well while Kieran Williamson tackled tenaciously for the Field.

Bitton Under-10s had to battle hard for their 5-2 aggregate victory over AEK Boco in Division B.

There were few chances for either team in the first game but Bitton took theirs to come through 3-0 victors. Oli Pritchard-Braund scored the only goal of the first half with a fine left-footed strike before Bitton doubled their lead through Mitchell Dann's looping shot. Sam Morgan added a third to give them a healthy advantage.

Bitton, however, were given a fright at the start of game two as within seconds of kick-off Boco's Daniel Marsh picked up possession and struck a beauty from long range.

Marsh then scored his second via a free-kick that was initially saved.

However AEK's comeback hopes were soon quashed as goals for Ellis Clarke and Sam Ballinger ensured a 2-2 draw and the points were all safe for Bitton.

Mangotsfield United Under-11s cruised to a 9-1 victory with two comfortable wins over Whitchurch in the A Division

Two goals for Ryan Evans and one from Aaron Jones secured a 3-1 first-game win, Owen Humphries making an impressive debut for the Mangos while William Morris was on top form.

Kieran Murray fired home an impressive hat-trick in game two, Taylor Cepek scored twice and Aayush Seegum notched his first goal for the team in a 6-0 second-game success.

Aidan Connolly made a series of super saves to keep Whitchurch out while David Dunn, Josh Tucker and Joel Cassar all defended well.

AEK Boco B Under-11s stunned C-Division pacesetters Highridge United by stealing all three points with a 4-2 victory.

Boco began solidly enough but soon found themselves 1-0 down before Kane Davis levelled it up.

That inspired the away side to score further goals through Joe Abraham and Mason Hall to hand Boco a deserved 3-1 first-game advantage.

Highridge hit back in the second game by taking the lead but Boco weren't finished and never gave up. Callum Carpenter equalised courtesy of some clever footwork which caught Highridge cold, and his side held out for the rest of the contest to secure that splendid overall win.
