Rich sees signs of improvement ahead of clash with Cutters
CLEVEDON United assistant Joe Rich says his team aren't as bad as the league table suggests and that the squad can take encouragement from last weekend's penalty shootout defeat to Ashton & Backwell United in the Premier Division Cup.
Clevedon held Ashton & Backwell for 120 minutes and had a chance of winning the match in normal time, but they missed a penalty. They then suffered a 5-4 defeat in the shootout.
Rich said: "The lads have had good performances in the last two games, so they are starting to pick it up."
Clevedon, who have only played six league games this season, face a tough away trip to Cutters Friday, who have played ten games, and assistant Rich believes that the lack of matches has not helped his squad.
