A cash reward is being offered to try and track down the culprits behind a spate of vandal attacks on cars in Clevedon.

Over the past month, 16 cars parked in the seaside resort have been vandalised – causing damage totalling thousands of pounds.

The attacks have happened in areas including Hillview Avenue, Newlands Green, Parnell Road and Teignmouth Road. Vehicles have had their wing mirrors pulled off, windscreens smashed and bodywork dented. On some cars, yobs have walked over vehicles, causing damage to the roof and bonnet.

Now, Clevedon's Neighbourhood Watch group is offering a cash reward for information leading to the conviction of the culprits.

A police spokesman said: "Offering a reward for information has worked in the past with incidents which have taken place in Clevedon.

"We are hoping the offer of a reward will bring information forward about these incidents of criminal damage."

Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
