Champ eager for return to winning ways
MOTOCROSS
The South West Centre trial champion, Joe Baker, will be out to avenge a four-mark defeat to Yeovil rider Ricky Wiggins in the first round of the new series on Exmoor when round two takes place at Cove, near Bampton, in Devon tomorrow.
Other leading lights in action in a three-lap 12-section event being staged by the Tiverton Club at Marwoods Farm include Joe's younger brother Jordan, Tom Bushin, Tom Hooper, Rob and George Pollard and Rob Wrayford.
Upwards of 70 classic bike competitors from Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and Devon will be taking part in the Bath Classic Club's first event of 2013 at Naish Hill, near Lacock, the same day.

The venue was in the public eye as far back as the sixties when it was used for the televised BBC Grandstand Motocross series and, more recently, the site was used for the West Wilts Club's Tanner timed trial, which became less popular as prices of suitable machinery rocketed.
Wessex Centre timed-trial champion Simon Prideaux is still showing good form, but he will be fully-extended in the North Somerset Club's meeting at Chelwood by Jason Hamblin, Jeremy Cross, Stuart Sinclair and Peter King in the hour-long battle against the clock at Malthouse Farm.
Long-time campaigner Ade Dark and his son Harvey are also in the line-up with Tom Smith and Martin Lawford, but Andy Frost and Paul Manning will be absentees.
Frost crushed his index finger in a recent Enduro in Wales and Manning is awaiting a hip operation.
