The full line-up for this year’s Glastonbury Festival has been revealed.

The Pyramid Stage headliners Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and Blur have already been announced, but now the rest of the weekend’s performers have been confirmed.

Headlining the Other Stage at Michael Eavis’s Worthy Farm, in Pilton, will be Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand and Prodigy.

The Doves, ex-Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker and Echo and The Bunnymen will be drawing crowds to the John Peel Stage.

This year’s festival includes many icons from the last 40 years.

Former Kinks frontman Ray Davies is set to headline the Acoustic Stage on Friday, while folk-rock supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash will perform on the Pyramid stage, ahead of their former band member Neil Young who is headlining Friday night.

Status Quo, Spinal Tap, Tom Jones, Madness and The Specials will also be performing.

The younger generation will be looking to the likes of Lily Allen, the Ting Tings and Lady GaGa to wow the crowds.

Other big names in a diverse line-up for 2009, include Pete Doherty, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Fleet Foxes, Black Eye Peas, Glasvegas and hotly tipped up and comers Florence and the Machine.

Check when your favourite band is playing.

“Well done Micheal Eavis - best line up for years. Plenty of quality musicians of various ages - Neil Young, Springsteen, Prodigy and Pendulum to name just a few. Its not just a load of the latest one album wonders. Glastonbury survives because its the thinking fans festival. Last year it was in danger of being just another Reading or V, full of ill mannered drunken young idiots. Lets hope this year is a return to THE festival's original values. For those who don't like it there's all the other clone festivals after all.

See you at the Cider bus folks!”

“What a boring lineup. Neil Young??? The only positives to me are Black Eyed Peas and Blur (if they do their old stuff). The rest is a yawn fest.”

“Yawn yawn yawn - why is there so much coverage of this truly dreadful festival - it's gets attended by the most pretentious people imaginable and mostly features 5 minute wonder bands ( not including the headliners this year as they all deserve respect ) - most people who attend just stay in their tents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are so many better festivals around in UK, Europe & rest of the world.”
