A Bristol charity which supports adoptive and fostering families has had its day centre revamped.

Our Place provides sessions, workshops and advice for parents at the centre in Fishponds Road, which opened in 1998.

Thanks to a donation of paint from the local Dulux Decorator Centre in Stokes Croft, and some help from a group of Bupa volunteers, the day centre has now been given a new look.

A group of 26 volunteers from Bupa's finance department in Bristol spent an afternoon decorating the centre and approached the Dulux Decorator Centre to donate paint for the project through its Colouring the Community scheme.

Samantha Hunt, project leader from Bupa Bristol, said: "The team really enjoyed getting out of the office and donning their overalls for the afternoon. Our Place works closely with adoptive and fostering families in Bristol and we were delighted that the donation from Dulux enabled us to give its day centre a fresh new look."
