Jingle and Bell, two reindeer from Norway, are Bristol Zoo's star attractions this Christmas.

Until January 4, visitors to the zoo can get up close to the reindeer, stroke their velvety noses and feed them their favourite food – lichen.

This is the first time reindeer have been seen at the zoo and they are already proving a hit with the public, who are able to feed them between 11am and 3pm. Zoo reindeer expert Simon Robinson said: "They only came to us on Sunday but are both settling in very well. They're great, they have a really good temperament and love being stroked. It's great to have them here at Christmas and it's great for the kids to be able to come here and see and feed the reindeer before they have to go and pull Santa's sleigh."
