Reggae gig raises thousands for Ethiopia
A music event has raised nearly £3,000 for two charities working to help people living in Ethiopia.
The event, organised by not-for-profit music promoters, Back 2 Its Roots, at the Trinity Centre, raised £2,830 for Plan Lalibela and For-Ethiopia.
The headliners Iration Steppas and Vibronics played live reggae to a sell-out crowd.
Back 2 Its Roots promotions manager Jamie Thomas said: "I would like to thank everyone who supported us, who came out and paid money, to help us raise an impressive amount for the charities. We hope to raise more in the future."
