Bristol families can recycle their real Christmas trees at Whitehall Garden Centre in Whitchurch this month.

Whitehall Garden Centre, which is in Norton Lane, is offering customers the chance to have their trees shredded for free until January 31.

David Manning, manager at Whitehall Garden Centre, said: "We will collect the Christmas trees at the garden centre and they will then go to Hinton Organics Botanical Composting Company near Keynsham where they will shred them.

"If you bring your Christmas tree to Whitehall Garden Centre to be shredded we will give you a £2.50 money off voucher to use when you spend more than £10 at the garden centre."

Customers should bring no more than two trees.

For further information, please call the garden centre on 01275 832296 or visit www.whitehallgardencentre.co.uk.
