SCOTLAND provides the only jump racing action again as Ayr stage the second day of their New Year meeting and Real Milan looks set to be banker material in the Download BetVictor Spincast App Now Novices Chase.

Donald McCain's charge got his new career over fences off the brightest possible start with a comprehensive beating the useful Poole Master and there is very chance he can follow up under a penalty.

He was very good in the jumping stakes at Carlisle where he put his stamp on the race three fences from home and stayed on with plenty of purpose in the closing stages to win a shade cosily.

Jason Maguire will again be doing the steering which is an added bonus as few jockey are riding better at present and Real Milan should have little difficulty in building on that success at the expense of Nuts N Bolts.

McCain, pictured, will also fancy his chances of landing the BetVictor Cheltenham Festival Antepost Pioneers Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Chase with Dannanceys Hill, who has been runner-up in his two previous attempts this winter.

Last time he bumped into the decent Rose Of The Moon at Sedgefield and went down by 13 lengths, but there is nothing of that calibre in this line up and the six-year-old can win with Henry Brooke in the saddle.

Perth-based trainer Lucinda Russell always enjoys winners in Scotland and she looks to have a real chance of topping and tailing the card with No Deal and Ballyben.

No Deal went into many notebooks as a horse to keep on the right side when scoring on his British debut in a bumper at Carlisle and he should relish the step up to three miles for the Follow Us On Twitter @BetVictorRacing Maiden Hurdle.

Ballyben will be ridden by the promising conditional Graham Watters in the Get The BetVictor App National Hunt Flat Race, which brings the curtain down on the card.

Watters claims a very valuable 10lbs which nullifies the penalty the horse has to carry for winning well on his debut at Haydock, where he had no problems with attritional ground conditions, similar to what he will face here.
