Frampton Rangers earned a valuable three points in their bid to pull away from the foot of Division D as they overcame a spirited Ingleside outfit.

Mitchell Rayner was the star of show, scoring one goal and setting up the other three as the home side recovered from the shock of conceding a goal inside two minutes.

The Ingleside goal followed a break by Michael Pryce, who saw his effort hit the foot of a post before coming back out and being cleared. But the ball went only as far as Benjamin Hitchings, whose first- time flew back into the net.

The visitors' lead was short-lived, however, as Rayner made it 1-1 four minutes later. A great ball from Jake Wills put Rayner in behind the defence and the right midfielder calmly dispatched the ball into the net.

The explosive start to the game continued with another goal two minutes later.

This time Rayner turned provider, beating two men down the right before crossing the ball into the danger zone where Wills was lurking to lift it over the keeper's head and into the net.

Despite Frampton's impressive turnaround, Ingleside still posed a threat and they came close again with a Pryce shot which was deflected wide.

A few minutes later, a lovely pass from Timothy March put Leonardo Fernandez in the clear, but he was shut down quickly by Frampton keeper Tony Cole and dragged his shot wide from the edge of the area.

Towards the end of the half, Cole was kept in constant action as Ingleside threatened, but the keeper remained strong.

Cole's brilliance seemed to spark Frampton back into life after they had started to lose their grip on the game and, shortly after another good Cole save, Wills converted an excellent Rayner corner to make it 3-1 with five minutes left in the half.

And, just before the break, it became 4-1 after more brilliant skill from Rayner, who cut the ball across the area where three unmarked team-mates were waiting, and it was Wills who rolled the ball past the keeper to complete his hat-trick.

Ingleside started the second half just as explosively as they had the first, grabbing a goal only three minutes in.

A long ball over the top of the defence enabled Hitchings to run clear and, despite having his first shot saved, he still managed to tuck the ball away after it had rebounded back to him off the keeper.

Four minutes later, Ingleside had another great chance. A fabulous flick-on from Jamaar House released Pryce behind the defence. But, with Cole coming out to meet him on the edge of the area, Pryce hit the ball beyond the post.

Frampton created a good opportunity when Ed Lankester lifted the ball to Rayner, who watched it go over his shoulder before shooting at goal, but his effort sailed wide.

Frampton had another chance to restore their three-goal advantage. Rayner swung the ball into the middle where Tommy Penney was waiting unmarked eight yards out, but the striker completely missed his kick

Two minutes later Ingleside's House used his power and speed to latch on to a ball knocked over the top of the defence before sliding it around the keeper, but Finlay Quirke scampered back to clear off the line.

Two minutes from time, Delano Johnson picked out House with an accurate free-kick and the powerhouse striker surged towards goal before releasing a thunderous strike, but once again his effort was brilliantly saved by Cole from close range.

Frampton Rangers: Tony Cole, Ed Lankester, Finlay Quirke, Josh Wills, Chris Proe, Mitchell Rayner, George Burgan, Max Hatton, Jack White, Junzaib Nazir, Jake Wills, Jensen Fricker, Tommy Penney, Jack Sims.

Ingleside: Oliver Bury, Jack Campbell, Harrison Dun, Leonardo Fernandez, Edward Fox, Michael Hough, Benjamin Hitchings, Jamaar House, Delano Johnson, Timothy March, Oliver O'Flaherty, Michael Pryce, Thomas Savage, Alexander Taylor.

Mitchell Rayner (Frampton Rangers): Had a terrific game, outpacing and outmanoeuvring the Ingleside defenders, and was involved in all four goals, scoring one and creating three.
