'Rambo' guilty of Bristol pub row stabbing
A pub regular nicknamed "Rambo" has been found guilty of intentionally slashing a licensee's partner in the chest when he couldn't get into a lock-in.
Steven Hamshire, his sister Lauren and two of their friends tried to enter the Lord Rodney in Two Mile Hill for late drinks, between 11pm and 1.30am, Bristol Crown Court was told.
-

When they found themselves locked out a plant pot was thrown through the pub window and Hamshire swiped a knife across Philip Nuttall's chest outside the premises, causing a 22cm gash.
Hampshire, 27, of no fixed abode, admitted wounding but denied an allegation of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
A jury of six men and six women found him guilty as charged.
The Honourable Mr Justice Ian Burnett remanded him in custody, pending a report, for sentencing in the New Year.
Mr Nuttall told the court his partner Sue was the pub's licensee and he helped out.
He said that on the Friday night in question in February he was not working but was drinking in the bar.
He said: "We can serve up to 1.30am but the doors have got to be shut at 11pm. There is no entry after 11pm."
Mr Nuttall recalled how Hamshire's sister and the others were outside the pub, banging on the doors and windows and trying to get in.
He said: "A plant pot came through the window.
"There were people sitting around the seating area and there was glass everywhere.
"Me and Sue went outside to see what was going on."
Mr Nuttall said he knew Hamshire and they had "angry talk" about the smashed window.
He said: "I thought I cooled it all down. He (Hamshire) went off to his grandparents' house and I remained outside.
"After a few minutes Steven started walking back up again.
"He was angry. He was shouting 'someone's going to have this!' I didn't want him going back into the pub."
It was then, he said, that he felt a punch to his chest.
"I saw him raise his hand," he said. "Someone was standing next to me and he said 'don't move, he's just stabbed you'.
"When I looked down I had a big cut down there."
Mr Nuttall said thought he recalled Hamshire was carrying something, he didn't see a knife.
He told the jury his injury required five to seven internal stitches and some 28 to 29 staples.
Hamshire told the jury an angry Mr Nuttall pushed him and he panicked.

“For your information Steven is a good person who had a business a lovely girlfriend and daughter who are going to miss him when he's in prison.
I think it's very sad commenting on a story that you obviosly know nothing about!!
Have you not got anything better to do with your time?
You weren't there or in court so how can you comment about something you don't know about!!
Get a life and stop poking your nose in other peoples!”
