Rain ruins Carmel United's hopes

Carmel United's hopes of drawing level on points with unbeaten Bristol & Avon League leaders De Veys were dashed when their home game against Imperial Reserves at Filwood was abandoned after only five minutes by referee Mark Mills.

"The players were blinded by driving rain and we could not continue," said Carmel secretary Darrell Irwin. Waterlogged pitches caused the postponement of the other six games.

Liam Bamford, of Roman Glass St George, has been banned by the GFA for 35 days from November 23 for the use of offensive, insulting or abusive language directed at match officials in the District League game against Wick on October 17.
Other bans (from November 23): Terry Barry (St Pancras) 7 days – second caution in the same match; Simon Bryan (Pilton Ath) 35 days – violent conduct; Brendan Tarr (Iron Acton) 35 days – use of offensive, insulting or abusive language directed at match officials; John Wilmott (Iron Acton) – second caution in the same match.
