Rail delays after woman hit by train at Bristol Parkway
-A woman's body has been found on the railway line near Coalpit Heath having been hit by a train, causing delays on several services.

There were delays on trains through Bristol Parkway this morning after a woman was hit by a train near the station.
The woman was hit near Coalpit Heath, between Parkway and Westerleigh.

British Transport Police confirmed that a body was found at Coalpit Heath. Once forensic removal of the body was completed the lines were re-opened at 12.30pm.
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: “BTP officers attended the railway line at Coalpit Heath, South Gloucestershire after a report of a body on the line.
“The incident was reported to BTP at 9.53am by the driver of a passing train – the 08.15hrs London Paddington to Cardiff Central service.
“Officers from Avon & Somerset Police and local paramedics also attended and located the body of a woman with injuries consistent with having been hit by a train.
“The incident is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
“Officers are working to confirm the woman’s identity and inform her family.
“A file will be prepared for the Coroner.”
Some services were diverted via the Severn Tunnel, and a couple of services from London Paddington to Cardiff had to be cancelled.
