Rail commuters face one hour delays after vehicle hits bridge

Rail commuters in the West faced delays of up to an hour this morning after a vehicle struck a bridge near to Trowbridge, in Wiltshire.

The accident affected First Great Western train services from Yeovil, Castle Cary, Southampton Central, Salisbury, Westbury, Trowbridge, Bath Spa and Bristol Temple Meads.

National Rail Enquiries warned that journeys could be delayed by up to 60 minutes after the accident which happened just before 9am.
