A CHEQUE for more than £3,100 has been presented to the Lord Mayor's Children's Appeal by the Great Western branch of the Forum for the Built Environment.

The money was raised in a raffle which was held at the forum's Christmas event. The appeal helps children in need at Christmas time by providing them with vouchers which can be exchanged for food, clothes and toys.

Richard Davis, chair of the forum, said: "We are committed through our annual Christmas meal to raise awareness and funds for local charity.

"This year I am pleased to say that we pulled out all stops for The Lord Mayor of Bristol's Children Appeal.
