Bristol Saracens host RFU chief executive Francis Baron on Saturday as rugby's governing body concludes a country-wide roadshow with a three-day visit to Gloucestershire.

Management board chairman Martyn Thomas, community rugby chairman Rob Udwin and community rugby director Andrew Scoular will also be attending the Senior Vase clash with Old Richians.

Their visit to the West begins with a trip to Longlevens tonight and takes in an Under-18 ladies match at Hartpury College tomorrow morning and an Under-16 clash at Drybrook on Sunday.

Vice-chairman Steve Miller has stepped up to become chairman of St Mary's Old Boys following the resignation of Dr John Redmond.

Mary's this weekend hope to welcome back Chris Ramwell from army duties in Afghanistan.

Flu-hit Tetbury borrowed a couple of St Brendan's players for their Gloucester Two clash at Bristol University – and lock Alex Oliver showed his commitment against his club-mates by scoring a try and preventing one with a fine tackle.

Burnham-on-Sea entertain Hornets tomorrow in Western Counties North in what is believed to be the first senior meeting between the local rivals.

Whitehall fielded a fourth team for the first time this season and, under the captaincy of Lee Budd, recorded a 51-3 home win over Southmead thirds.

New recruits from Langford College have boosted Yatton thirds, who are fifth in Somerset Two North after a hard-earned 21-0 home win over Oldfield.

Prop Phil Jones, centre Josh Batterham and Matt Ivens claimed the tries, Andy Williams adding all three conversions. The newcomers will not be available tomorrow because of a Langford students v ex-students clash, which kicks off at Yatton at noon.

Julian Hoffman claimed two tries as newly-promoted Cotham Park beat Cainscross 46-5 to go second in Gloucester Two.

Captain Craig Coulstring, Ross Hutchinson, John Board, Jack Kelly and Nick Comer, who kicked four conversions and a penalty, completed the scoring for Park, who hope to resurrect their third team soon.

Gloucestershire Under-18s face Dorset and Wiltshire at the Bristol Grammar School playing fields, Failand, on Sunday (noon). The squad features Harry Hone (Avonmouth), Ian Clark (Cleve) and Andrew Priddle (Filton College).
