Public water bill meeting in Bristol
The price of water bills will be discussed by the region's water companies at a public meeting in Bristol on June 10.
The Consumer Council for Water will be meeting with senior representatives from water companies to discuss the business plans put forward by each for 2010 to 2015.
Plans include the work water companies would like to carry out over that period, and the prices they would like to charge their customers.
Recently, Bristol Water proposed an average increase of £43 above inflation on water bills by 2015.
Over the same period, Wessex Water proposed to raise average combined annual water and sewerage bills by £25 above inflation, and South West Water proposed to raise average combined annual water and sewerage bills by £27 above inflation.
Customers of Wessex Water, Bristol Water, and South West Water are welcome to attend and voice their opinions.
Charles Howeson, chair of the Consumer Council for Water Western Region will be on hand to answer questions.
The public meeting at the Mercure Holland House Hotel, in Redcliffe Hill, begins at 9.30am.
