NOMS have revealed they are in discussions with Serco Group, which manages and operates the institute, about using the site for adult male category C prisoners.
The organisation agreed to send representatives to the parish council meeting after being contacted by Pucklechurch's South Gloucestershire councillors Steve Reade and Ben Stokes.

They believe residents should be given an opportunity to find out more about the proposed changes.
In a statement, the councillors said: "Like so many local residents, we were very concerned about the manner in which this announcement was made and whether this is a proposal that is subject to change or a decision that we're all simply being informed of."
