Danny Butler described lifting the British Masters super-middleweight crown as "the proudest moment of his career".

Triumphant inside the distance against Matty Hough at Birmingham's Tower Ballroom, the Bristolian was presented with his championship belt by show promoter and world light welterweight king Ricky Hatton.

"It doesn't get much better than that," declared Butler, who produced a stunning finish to end a one-sided contest in round five and register his third consecutive stoppage victory.

"To be given the belt by Ricky is my proudest moment for sure. Ricky told me he had enjoyed watching me and that meant a lot."

Although 11 years Butler's senior, and boasting a significant height and reach advantage, Hough was no match for the Bristolian, who has now won all 12 of his professional fights.

Pete Leworthy completed a notable double for the Spaniorum Farm stable, announcing himself in style on his debut to outpoint house fighter Sid Razak 39-38 in an entertaining super featherweight contest over four two-minute rounds.

Known as 'The Choirboy' because of his angelic looks, the 23-year-old from Kingswood hit all the right notes, working fluently behind his jab and commanding the centre of the ring to win more comfortably than the ref's scorecard suggested.
