Prison chiefs attending Pucklechurch parish council meeting to discuss future of young offenders' institute
Prison chiefs have agreed to attend a public meeting on Wednesday night to explain plans to convert Ashfield Young Offenders Institute in Pucklechurch into a jail for adults.
They have decided to attend a meeting of Pucklechurch parish council after an invite from councillors. The council meets at 7.30pm in the village’s community centre.

Boyd Valley Tory Councillors Steve Reade and Ben Stokes, who have been carrying out a survey of the village, said:
"Like so many local residents, we were very concerned about the manner in which this announcement was made and whether this is a proposal that is subject to change or a decision that we're all simply being informed of.”
