FORMER Highridge striker Nick Pratton celebrated his debut for Nicholas Wanderers Reserves by netting the opener in the 2-0 Senior Division home win against Wick Reserves.

Paul Hendy missed a penalty in the first half for Wanderers, but his blushes were spared when John Mason added the second after the break to clinch three welcome points.

Hartcliffe stepped up their Division Two promotion bid with a comfortable 6-2 home victory against struggling Lloydy Coalpit, who face a battle to avoid the drop, thanks to doubles from Matt Wilton, Mitchell Knott and Jamie Mogg.

Winterbourne A hopes of honours received a setback when strikes by Brendan Perkins (penalty) and Mo Mjie were cancelled out by replies from Sam Turner and Paul Gunning for Chipping Sodbury A in a 2-2 draw.

Three goals in the first 15 minutes paved the way for a 4-1 home success for DRG Frenchay Reserves against Nicholas Wanderers A, for whom Scott Andoniou netted a second half consolation in reply to efforts from Chris Kriticos (2), James Cox and George Hadji.

Sam Taylor (penalty), Ryan Clifford and Rowan Cartledge gave Real Thornbury the lead three times away to Olveston Reserves, who hit back through Scott Reeves, Phil Russell and Andy Morse to share six goals in Division Three.

Second-placed Greyfriars Reserves slumped to a surprise 3-0 home defeat against Horfield United, for whom John Burden (2) and Simon Kay were on target, while four goals from Alex Turnbull spearheaded a 9-3 home romp by Cribbs Friends Life A against Lawrence Rovers Reserves, who remain stranded at the bottom without a point.

Also on the mark for the promotion-chasing Insurancemen were Liam Clayton (2), Marcus Bebbington (2) and Shaun Fahey, while Luke Mathison hit a hat-trick in reply.

Goals from John Sheppard and Chris Williams could not save lowly Bristol Barcelona Reserves from a 3-2 home defeat by Frampton Reserves, whose marksmen were Isaac Barnes, Ryan Forrest and Liam Downs, the club's top scorer.

A 6-1 home win against Sea Mills Reserves lifted Hallen A to second in Division Four behind South Bristol Central thanks to Luke Mills (2), Rob Wilkes, Frankie Vaughan, Luke Burman and Mike Peprer.

Joe Harvey and Kyle Davies replied for Shirehampton A in a 9-2 home hammering by Shaftesbury Crusade Reserves, who have been strengthened by several former Ingleside regulars.

Seymour A were runaway 9-1 winners in the Division Five basement battle at home to Hartcliffe Reserves, with Jamie Wright (4), Dave Davies (2), Ben Price (2) and Dave Keddie the scorers.

Prince Mobhongo hit back for Greyfriars A, beaten 2-1 away to Highridge Reserves, for whom Jack Coyne and Danny Elson found the net, while Cribbs Friends Life A lost 2-1 to Stockwood Reserves in the only Division Six game to survive.
