Portland OB are pummelled by Torpedo fightback

TORPEDO stayed in touch with the Division I pacesetters with a 4-1 win over Portland OB.
Portland raced in front with a first-minute Craig Grist goal but Torpedo fought back to take the points thanks to Erik Labi (2), Mike Stubbs and Dan Jones.
Steve Newell scored both goals as leaders Bristol Barcelona beat Saints OB 2-1. Nick Lloyd replied for Saints.
Second-placed Sneyd Park were held 1-1 by Ashley in a cracking game. Mike Chappell crashed in a volley from Chris Barrett's left-wing cross for Ashley, only for Joe Sharples to level for Sneyd with a first-time drive.
A Dave Gamble double gave AFC Bohemia a win over Sporting Greyhound, while Patrick Barter was Clifton St Vincents' matchwinner in a 2-1 success against Jamaica Bell.
Cabot AF lost 3-2 to Lawes Juniors, with Tom Wilkinson and Dave Southwood scoring for Cabot and Ian Cassley, Olly Bendall and Dan Parsons netting for Lawes.
Rob Kenwood scored twice to lead Cotswool to a 4-2 victory over Easton Cowboys.
In Division II, father and son Paul and Scott Hynam were the stars as Hydez FC slammed Cotswool Reserves 8-1. Paul netted three times and Scott hit the other fives.
Sneyd Park Reserves beat Clifton Rockets 5-2 thanks to Ben Bishop (2), Nick Hards, Jack Davies and Jack Metcalfe. Tom Pratt and Danny Edwards replied for Rockets.
Gary Witheridge (2) and Steve Sheppard fired St Andrews to a 3-1 win against Bristol Barcelona Reserves.
In Division III, Stoke Bishop edged out Beachcroft 2-1 thanks to Matt Burman and Jamie Preece, while Steve Elford netted a consolation goal for Clifton Rockets Reserves, who were thrashed 8-1 by Sporting Greyhound Reserves.
Richard Hayne and Manny Bhalero earned DDAS a 2-0 win against Retainers Reserves, while Luccombe Garage staged a great comeback to draw 4-4 with LA Cricketers thanks to a Richard Golding strike and Louis Hann's hat-trick.
Dan Ward (2), Sam Cook, John Hawkins and an own goal sealed Severnside's 5-3 win against Torpedo A, who replied through Pete Clare, Sunday Oni and Paul Hancock, while Ben Whitehead netted for Sneyd Park A in a 1-1 draw with Clifton St Vincents A.
In Division IV, a John Tapster goal gave Wellington Wanderers a share of the spoils against Bengal Tigers in a 1-1 draw.
Danny Hicks (2) and Max Briere- Edney scored for Sneyd Park B in the 3-0 win against Conham Rangers, while Tom Jay hit a hat-trick as Cotham OB drew 4-4 with Retainers A.
