Portishead school's wartime exhibition
Students at a Portishead school took a step back in time to look at life during World War II.
Year six pupils at Portishead Primary have spent the term studying the war and transformed the school hall into a museum for the afternoon.
The display of their project work included models, historic event timelines, power point presentations, diaries, observations and some artefacts borrowed from relatives.
Students created a wartime atmosphere by playing music from the period and welcomed parents and members of the community in to share the experience.
Year six class teacher Lorraine Perry said: "The children have really enjoyed this term's project.
"They have been able to gather information from lots of sources including from relatives and friends.
"We were also lucky enough to have a visit from one of our pupils' grandads who was able to talk about being an evacuee. It was lovely to be so supported by parents."
