Portbury teenagers get Avon Youth Service Bus
YOUNGSTERS in Portbury are delighted with the arrival of a weekly travelling youth club.
The Avon Youth Service Bus will be making a weekly stop in the car park of the village primary school every Monday evening.

The youth bus visited the village last year when Portishead Youth Club closed for refurbishment.
The bus was such a success with teenagers that funding was sought to keep it in the village for the next 12 months.
The cost of the bus visiting the village has been jointly funded by Portbury Parish Council and the Youth Opportunity Fund.
The bus is fitted with computers, music equipment and arts and craft materials.
Portishead Youth Centre manager, Alan Rowe, said: "The bus was a real hit with the young people and we were getting a good crowd using it every week."
Portbury Parish Council vice chairman, Councillor Pete Cooke, said it was the first time for several years that the young people of the village had their own youth facility.
Mr Cooke said: "We started using the bus at the end of last year at a cost of around £500 and it has been a huge success.
"Because of the positive feedback we decided to earmark a further £1,000 in the next financial year to provide the service in the village once a week."
The bus is at St Mary's Primary School car park every Monday from 7pm to 9pm.
