Pool plan approved
PLANS for a new swimming pool in east Bristol have been given approval.
The 25m pool will be built on the Bristol Brunel Academy site and will probably be funded through a variation to the school's original private finance agreement.
Council leader Simon Cook said: "We are absolutely chuffed that we can finance the pool."
He added that the previous swimming strategy had concluded the Easton Leisure Centre pool would meet the area's needs but that the new pool would ease the pressure on it.
