Police warn of car thefts
Police are stepping up patrols and urging motorists to be vigilant following a spate of thefts from vehicles across North Somerset.
There have been 76 reported incidents across the district in the last four weeks, in which many of the targeted vehicles were Volkswagens and Citroens.
Items stolen include sunglasses, CDs, a satellite navigation system, a stereo facia and a laptop.
Police teams across the district are providing crime prevention advice to local residents and contacting the owners of any vulnerable vehicles they identify.
