POLICE in Weston-super-Mare want to trace witnesses to a robbery in a local park.

A man threatened a number of people on October 17, at 5.30pm in the park area off Summer Lane, near to the fishing lake.

He approached several people, including teenagers, and asked them to empty their pockets.

A 21-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of robbery and threats to damage or destroy property.

He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
