Police seek Bristol assault victim
A teenager was assaulted by a gang of youths in a Fishponds park.
Police were called to an area known locally as Vassalls Park at about 8.30pm on Monday.
Avon and Somerset police spokesman Wayne Baker: "A group of youngsters were reported to be assaulting another teenager. There was a suggestion that the victim may have been struck with a bar of some kind.
"When police arrived the suspects had left the area. The victim, who is believed to have suffered a head injury, was not at the scene."
Police are appealing to witnesses to the incident and to anyone who may have been in the Blackberry Hill area and seen a group of teenagers shortly afterwards. Police are also appealing for the man who was assaulted to come forward. Call Bristol CID on 0845 456 7000.

“*"an area known locally as Vassalls Park "*
I take it that the reporter is new to the Bristol area (if anywhere near it at all) as, if they were, they'd be well aware that it was known across Bristol as "Vassells" and would have also have known to use the official name "Oldbury Court".”
