Police have secured a "crucial" injunction on a teenager who has been terrorising residents of Henbury.

Peter Clark, 19, of Westerleigh Road, Southmead, has been served with an injunction banning him from Crow Lane and the surrounding area for a year.

He is also barred from being with more than two other people in Henbury or neighbouring Brentry.

The conditions are the same as the ones imposed on Jamie Jeffrey, 18, from Ascot Road, Southmead, and Ashley Mullen, 18, from Roselarge Gardens, Brentry, as reported in April.

Sergeant Terry Scoble, in conjunction with Bristol City Council's Safer Bristol Partnership, obtained the civil court injunction as part of a continued crack-down on anti-social behaviour in the area.

An injunction is a final warning before police apply for an anti-social behaviour order.

Police say Clark has been at the heart of the trouble which has included street fights, being drunk and disorderly, threatening residents using the shops in Crow Lane and vandalising property.

If Clark is seen by police in the area in the next 12 months, he can be immediately arrested, taken into custody, and sent back to court, where he could be sent to prison.

Mr Scoble said: "This injunction on Peter Clark was a crucial one for us to get.

"He has been seen drinking in the street and has subjected the residents of Henbury to abuse and assault.

"From our point of view he was the main ring leader and seemed to have a large influence on other individuals who carried out much of the anti- social behaviour in Henbury.

"Working with Bristol City Council's anti-social behaviour team and the Safer Bristol Partnership we have worked hard to secure this injunction, which will undoubtedly keep incidents of anti-social behaviour at the current low levels being experienced in the area."

Last month, the Evening Post reported that calls regarding anti-social behaviour in Henbury had halved.

Police are encouraging residents and shop owners to report any sightings of Clark or any other youth in the area who is subject to an injunction or anti-social behaviour order.

Posters featuring Jeffrey and Mullen as well as three youths on Asbos – Truman Ward, 19, of Dovercourt Road, Horfield; Matthew Ryan, 16, of Henbury; and George James, 17, of Brentry – have been put up to name and shame offenders.

A new leaflet and poster featuring just Clark is now also being circulated by police officers in the area.

Stuart Pattison, Bristol City Council's ASB manager, said:

"Safer Bristol Partnership has taken action against Peter Clark to protect the residents of Brentry and Henbury from his intolerable anti-social behaviour.

"Safer Bristol Partnership is committed to tackling anti-social behaviour and with the public's help we can. We acknowledge that there is still more work to be done and the community can rest assured it will be."

“Lauren BS10 - Yes I do have to put it on this website! I do know Peter and I know what he is like. He causes nothing but trouble to people and he has no right to. I have lived in Southmead my whole life and i have never been arrested, I have 3 jobs and live a decent working life - unlike Peter who thinks it is right to sell drugs, harrass strangers and be nothing but a total waste of tax payers money.”

It's due to pond life like him, that the moral decline in communties have become an all time low.”

“I Totally agree with you Bristolian Footballer, i've heard the portway gets busy in the morning - why dont he try standing in the middle of it! Cant stand the 'lad' he is a trouble maker and should be locked up for good! All he does is cause problems for residents and this order is not going to do anything! You phone the police when you see them in the area and they do nothing! Pointless if you ask me!”

“So if the police see him . . not having a go at the police or anything, but the last time I was in Henbury there wern't any police around. So my question is how will they see him if they are not there? If local residents do call the police, he'll be long gone by tie they get there. I swear him and his gang used to throw eggs/flour etc at the bus when I used to travel back from Cribbs Causeway. Thank goodness for Cabot Circus I say I don't have to travel that way anymore.

I suggest an "exchange " programme to somewhere harsh in the World, he'll soom come crying back like a pussycat and realise how lucky he actually is to have the freedom to act like a twit, has opportunity for eduction and democracy. .man what a waste of space. I wont even waste my time asking if he has a job.”
